Introduction to VNOS

VNOS™ (Visual Network Operating System) allows the simple creation of visual, intent-oriented applications on a computer to monitor, manage, control or interoperate any collection of networkable devices and applications.

The VNOS platform, available for Macintosh OS X, Windows 2000, and Windows XP, enables every device to appear in a window as a small icon. Clicking on an icon opens a device panel, a graphical representation of that device’s controls. From the device panel, multiple computers located anywhere in the network can control and monitor the same or different sites, enabling every device on the network to be operated and configured from any computer on the network.

VNOS views support presetting, labeling, and recalling of individual settings for dozens, even hundreds of devices. Similar functions of multiple devices can be grouped and controlled by a single device. In addition, one event can trigger other events. For example, excessive volume peaks can trigger a prompt, a warning screen, or another defined action. Using VNOS, you can visually monitor and control virtually any device virtually anywhere on the network.
